5 Things Nobody Told You About BBA

  1. BBA is great for starting your own business

As Warren Buffet, the fourth richest person in the world said,

If you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.

Most of the people opting for a degree, are looking for a job to support their livelihoods, not understanding that they have to find ways to earn in their sleep to have a great life. There are many ways to make money in your sleep, but the most popular one is starting your own business and this is where BBA comes in.

The fundamental purpose of BBA is to create professionals who know how to manage a business, and a person who is willing can start their own business with the knowledge that they’ve gained through their BBA.

  2. Completing a professional qualification alongside the degree

Let’s suppose you don’t want to start your own business, you just want to have a great career, with a great job and a great salary. The best way to do this is to complete a professional qualification like CFP (Certified Financial Planning), CMA (Certified Management Accounting), CFA (Certified Financial Analyst) or any other qualification of your choice alongside your degree.

This will ensure that you make the best use of the time available and this will also show your potential employers that you utilize whatever time you have to improve yourself and your skillset. Above all, it will open a vast amount of opportunities for you career in a matter of 3 years which most people only achieve in a long time.

That is why at GCEC we have integrated CFP with our Entrepreneurship courses to ensure that the student has a professional qualification that they can use as a backup even if their business does not work out or if they don’t want to go into business at all.

  3. Getting practical experience during your college

As the saying goes, “There are some things you can only learn in a storm.”

Most people just drift through their college life, believing what they are doing is enough, hoping that the college placements are good enough for them to get placed in a good company. This is not the way to go if you want to have an exceptionally great career or even a good career.

You have to start applying the things that you learn in your college. If you’re learning marketing, go do an internship at a marketing position. If you’re learning about sales, go do an internship in a sales position. Whatever it is that you’re learning, it will only be useful to you in your career when you learn how to apply your knowledge in the real world.

That is why at GCEC, we’ve integrated 3 Years of Practical Learning with the course. You have to either take up internships, online courses or create your own business during the entirety of the 3 years. This is to make sure that your learning never stops and you gain valuable experience out of this time.

  4. Learning how to create and manage a team

As Henry Ford said, “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.”

The key to success in any business, whether its your own or someone you work for, is to make sure that the whole team is working towards one vision. Although the purpose of BBA is to make professionals who can manage a team, it is a trait rarely found in people.

If you truly want to have a great career in management, you cannot rely only on the standard material that you get during the course. You will have to study books, online courses and popular resources on management and then apply them in the real world to truly become able to lead a team to success.

  5. Learning as a lifestyle

As Mahatma Gandhi said, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever.”

Most people treat learning as something that you do only till college or until you get a job, but that could not be any farther away from the truth. You have to keep learning and improving during your life if you want to have a great career at the end of your lifetime.

This is because the world is rapidly evolving and the way we live is changing almost every decade. Even 10 years ago nobody would’ve imagined that people would be buying stuff online and getting it delivered to their doorstep. In this world of ever-evolving lifestyle, if you don’t keep up, the world is going to pass you by and the people who are going to own it are the ones who did the work to learn and apply their knowledge into the real world.

Now, as you go on to read other articles, we’d like you to take some time, to think about the things that you need to apply right now in your life to make sure that you gain something valuable out of this article.
